- From 04:00 Monday 18 January, all travel corridors with the UK are suspended
- From this date, you must have proof of a negative coronavirus test to travel to the UK and will need to self-isolate for 10 days on arrival. This includes British and Irish nationals. You will be subject to an immediate fine of £500 if you fail to comply with the new regulations on pre-departure testing
- The border measures have been introduced to prevent the spread of new variants of coronavirus into the UK. The measures are set to be in place for at least one month (set to be reviewed on Monday 15 February)
- You must continue to fill in a Passenger Locator Form before travelling
- The UK Government’s Test to Release scheme will remain in place for England, giving you the option to shorten the mandatory self-isolation period to as little as five days. You will still need to adhere to national restrictions in place upon release from self-isolation
